With their slick, shiny surfaces, Daniel's paintings really hit our sweet spot. But though they may be coated with sugar, there's a touch of medicine in them too. Beautiful as they may be, these landscapes remind us of our ever increasing impact on the earth, the climate, genetics, and the blurring between nature and synthetics.
Daniel is an Oakland based artist who has exhibited at many Bay Area galleries, including The LAB, Southern Exposure, and New Langton Arts. He is the recipient of the Kala Art Institute Fellowship and is a three-time nominee of the San Francisco MOMA SECA Art Award.
